August 24, 6 p.m.—Planning Commission

The Planning Commission meets at 6 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month at the town office located at 300 Mill Street here in St. Michaels. Applications to the Commission are due to the Town Office by noon 10 days prior to the meeting.

Preliminary Plan Review for a two (2) lot subdivision at 228 Dodson Avenue
The public is hereby notified that the St. Michaels Planning Commission will hold a preliminary site plan review for a two lot subdivision located at 228 Dodson Avenue (tax map 0200, parcel 1717) at the request of the property owner(s), WHITE CHARLES F and WHITE NANCY B. The preliminary site plan review is scheduled for Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 6pm as part of the Planning Commission’s regular meeting at the Edgar M. Bosley, Jr. Building, 300 Mill Street, St. Michaels, MD 21663. A copy of the preliminary subdivision plans are available for review in the Edgar M. September—St. Michaels “Goes Purple”

To show support for the “Talbot Goes Purple” awareness effort sponsored by the Sheriff’s Office and Tidewater Rotary, the Town of St. Michaels will string purple lights on the trees on Talbot Street.

You can participate! Sponsor a Purple Light Bulb to be hung on Talbot Street from September 9 to September 30. You can request a personal message up to 30 letters or just a name. Choose as many light bulbs as you wish for a cost of $50 each. Download an application HERE.

St. Michaels “Goes Purple” events and participation throughout the month of September!

• Guest Oyster Shucking Night with Joe Gamble at Awful Arthur’s on September 7
• Tri-Cycle and Run is doing a “Talbot Goes Purple Free Run” on September 9. They are asking everyone to bring blessing bags which will be donated to an organization determined by “Talbot Goes Purple.”
• Justine’s is doing a “Purple Shake” for the month of September
• “Talbot Goes Purple” will have an information table at Watermen’s Appreciation Day on Sunday, August 13.

The Historic District Commission meets at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month. The Historic District Commission meets at the town office located at 300 Mill Street here in St. Michaels. Applications to the Commission are due to the Town Office by noon 10 days prior to the meeting.

The Board of Zoning Appeals meets on the 2nd Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m., and on an as-needed basis. Applications to the Commission are due to the Town Office by noon at least 20 days prior to the scheduled hearing.

St. Michaels logo Spring FBDate: Scheduled for the first Monday of each month. Next meeting normally scheduled for Monday, September 11, 9 a.m. will be held on Tuesday, September 12th due to the September 11th county celebration.

Join your neighbors to talk about planning for a “Daffodil Weekend” in April and May Baskets and other projects!

Meetings are planned for second Monday of each month at 9 a.m. at the St. Michaels library.

September 12, 5:30 p.m.—Special Work Sessions Historic District Commission

The Historic District Commission will meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. for a public work session in the Edgar M. Bosley, Jr. Municipal Building, 300 Mill Street, St. Michaels. The work sessions will be held, as needed, on the following dates:

December 12, 2017

These work sessions are in addition to their regular meetings on the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. where Historic District applications will continue to be heard.
