July TBD—Plein Air Easton Kid’s Day in St. Michaels

“Celebrate Plein Air in St. Michaels”, will take place on Tuesday, July TBD. A full afternoon of events begins at 1:00 p.m. in Muskrat Park with a Plein Air Kids Paint Out. There will be an open registration for ages 4 and up for the Paint Out that will take place from 1-3 p.m. Kids of all ages are welcome to come enjoy the various Art Stations that will be available from 1-4 p.m. in the park. Blair Shelby, Director of St. Luke’s Church School will entertain the kids with a sensory art program using the most unbelievable painting tools. There will also be face painting, various arts and craft tables and music from our local youth.  Children will also be entertained by Cascading  Carlos who will amaze them with his juggling skills, while he teaches them how to juggle. He is not a clown or magician, he is a juggler who clowns around and has a lot of illusions in his juggling show. Children will have the opportunity to tour the PWEC Fishmobile and touch a variety of turtles and reptiles. Prizes for the Paint Out will be presented at a 4 p.m. Awards Ceremony in the park. Every child who participates in the day will receive free ice cream courtesy of Justine’s. Artists from the Candleberry Gallery are working together with the Destination Imagination Team of Talbot County, NAHS St. Michaels High School, NAHS Easton High School, St. Luke’s Methodist Church School, Phillips Wharf Environmental, the Town of St. Michaels and the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum to bring this event to St. Michaels. This event is open to the public and is free of charge. Pre-registration can be made by contacting the Candleberry Gallery at 410-745-2420 or emailing info@candleberrygallery.com.
